The Landscape Paintings are painted in the studio and outdoors (en plein air), with some finishing touches done in the studio. Painting outdoors is very challenging due to the fugitive light and constantly changing atmospheric and environmental conditions, but it's also very rewarding and it enables a true connection to nature. Being surrounded by all the splendor of the scenery, the true spirit of nature is infused into the work.
