About the artist

Polis Yerolemides was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, on February 1958.

 

After finishing the secondary education he studied Design and

Technical & Scientific Illustration in England (1978 - 1982).

 

He worked as a freelance designer and later in the creative departments of advertising agencies, as a graphic designer and art director, in Cyprus and abroad until 2021.

 

He always loved painting and after his retirement in 2021, he devoted himself to painting portraits and landscapes.

 

Polis's painting subjects are, realistic traditional PORTRAIT painting in the classical style, with oils and LANDSCAPE painting (en plain air) in a more impressionistic style, with oils.
